Terms, the short version

Your words are yours. Everything you write, record or upload belongs to you. We only store it so you can read it again.

Be decent. Don't use this to harass anyone or to store anything illegal. A jar is for kindness.

We do our best, not the impossible. We keep backups and take care of your entries, but this is not a legal record vault. Keep your own copy of anything you'd be heartbroken to lose — you can export everything.

You can leave whenever. Delete the jar or your whole account from Settings, and it's gone.

If we ever change something important about how this works, we'll tell you inside the app rather than quietly updating a page.
